The Nest That Survived the Rain but Not Humans

When Humans forget nature has feelings too

The Swallow’s Nest  A Story of Hard Work, Love, and Human Carelessness.

The swallow, known as Cheebil in Korean, is a small yet incredibly hardworking bird. One of its most fascinating abilities is building a strong mud nest, even on a completely straight wall.

As the summer season approaches, which is their breeding time, swallow pairs begin building their nests together. These birds are known for their strong bond and often stay with the same partner, working side by side like a perfect team.

For days, this pair worked tirelessly. Rain fell, winds blew, and the weather kept changing, but their tiny mud nest held firmly to the wall. Slowly and patiently, they shaped their home, preparing it for the eggs that would soon come.

Everything was almost complete.

But then something heart-breaking happened.

A human noticed the nest and destroyed it without a second thought.

There was no awareness of the effort behind it. No understanding of the life that was about to begin. A home built with days of patience, instinct, and silent dedication was gone in a moment.

It is painful to realize how often humans overlook the fragile beauty of nature.

The swallow is not just a bird; it plays an important role in the ecosystem. It helps maintain balance in nature and is often seen as a symbol of peace and good fortune. Many cultures even believe that birds nesting around a home bring blessings and prosperity.

If only that person had paused for a moment… and understood that what they were destroying was not just a nest, but an entire world for a living creature.

Final Thought

Nature is delicate, and every living being deserves respect. We share this Earth with countless creatures, and even the smallest act of kindness or cruelty matters.
